How we scored this

Each of the ten questions contributes 0 to 10 points to a 0 to 100 score. Higher scores reward documented practice (naming conventions, descriptions, owners, review cadence) and active hygiene (recent audit, visibility into fill rate, fewer duplicates and incidents). Lower scores flag drift and bloat.

We surface your three lowest-scoring questions as priority actions so the punch list is yours, not generic.

Industry sourcing and our model

HubSpot's per-tier custom property cap is 100 to 1,000+ depending on Hub level (HubSpot product limits docs). That is the only published benchmark this scoring leans on. The 50, 150, and 300 thresholds we use to score property count, the 5 percent fill-rate cutoff, and the four-tier breakpoints (80, 50, 20) are all our model assumptions, not industry standards. Adjust your read of the score accordingly.

Scoring is calibrated against published HubSpot benchmarks and our own model assumptions, both detailed in "How we scored this" above.

FAQ

Answers to the questions we actually get.

What does the score actually measure?

Custom property hygiene across ten dimensions: documentation, ownership, naming conventions, approval process, audit cadence, fill rate awareness, archival discipline, integration writes, recent incidents, and used-in coverage. Each question is scored 0 to 10 and your total maps to a 0-to-100 hygiene score, then to one of four tiers: Clean, Drift, Bloat, Crisis.

What do I get back when I finish?

Three things. A tier verdict (Clean / Drift / Bloat / Crisis) anchored to your total score. A per-question score so you can see exactly which dimensions are weak. The top three priority actions, ranked against your weakest answers, with what to do and why each matters.

How long does the assessment take?

About three minutes if you know the portal well. The questions are written so you can answer most from memory. Two of the ten ask for an exact custom-property count and a rough fill-rate band, which take 30 seconds in HubSpot Settings to look up if you do not have the numbers handy.

Is the assessment specific to a HubSpot tier?

The assessment itself is tier-agnostic, but the priority actions reference the published HubSpot per-tier custom-property limits where relevant (for example, a Crisis-tier verdict on a Pro portal flags that you are within reach of the cap, while the same verdict on Enterprise points at archival discipline rather than the limit itself).
